On Friday, July 12, 2019, N.C. Cooperative Extension of Montgomery County hosted the All About Animals Summer Adventure program at their office in Troy. Ms. Dora Turner brought a variety of animals to share with the 29 participants and staff. Summer adventurers got to meet Pixie the Three Banded Armadillo, Goldie the Bearded Dragon, Tinkerbell the Kinkajou, Noah the Greek Tortoise, Mollie the Moluccan Cockatoo, and a few of Ms. Dora’s Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. The group had a wonderful time learning about the different animals, petting them, painting an animal-themed craft, and more. As soon as Dora left, the group was already planning what animals she could bring for next year’s program.
