Working forests and farmlands have helped to shape the economic and cultural history ofour region for generations. Assisting private landowners to increase the economicreturn from their land, while leaving a legacy for future generations is moreimportant today than ever. Regardless of the goals you have in managing your land,having the appropriate resources available is crucial to your success.
We are writing to inform you of potential resources available to private landowners withinthe Uwharries and Sandhills regions of NC. The intention of these resources is to assistprivate landowners to meet the objectives they have set forth on their property. Theseresources may include specific guidance and management recommendations, assistancewith acquiring cost share funding, help with finding contractors to conduct work, trainingand support for controlled burning, and other forms of assistance.
We invite you to meet the agencies and organizations with potential resources available toprivate landowners within the Uwharries and Sandhills regions. At this event you can expect to meet federal, state, and private conservation groups that aid landownersspecifically in the Uwharrie/Sandhills region.
