The Empowering Youth and Families Program with North Carolina Cooperative Extension of Montgomery County will be sponsoring a Community Education Event on Monday, July 29, 2019, beginning at 5 p.m. at Sweet Tee Grill in Troy. The Poe Health Education Center will be delivering concurrent presentations for adults and youth aged 10-14 in separate areas to help educate families about substance abuse prevention.

The presentations will last from 5–7 p.m. and families who have attended the session will be granted free admission to Troy Pool from 7–9 p.m. immediately following.

Lifeguards aren’t the only ones who save lives! You can help guard lives by locking up your medications to help prevent them from being used inappropriately.
