2026 Landowner Resource Workshop

Anson and Montgomery Counties regularly rank highest in the state for harvested timber income. Forestry and natural resource management are major activities in the region.

Join NC Cooperative Extension Anson and Montgomery County Agents, and NC State Extension Forestry on November 5, 2026 at Montgomery Community College in Troy, NC. The main program will begin with a networking hour from 5 - 6 pm. Dinner will be served at 6 pm with a word from our sponsors. From 6:30 - 7:30 pm, Jacob Comer from Quail Forever (quailforever.org) and Gregory Godwin from NC WRC (ncwildlife.gov) will speak on government funding opportunities and managing land for wildlife value.

Before the main program, local field trips are being organized:

Montgomery County - Tour of private land. Meet at 3 pm at MCC, transportation provided.

Anson County - TBA

The cost for the workshop is $10. This includes dinner and transportation to and from the field portion of the workshop.
