North Carolina gardeners benefit from three distinct growing seasons - spring, summer, and fall. With summer behind us, you may want to consider cool weather crops for your fall garden. Planting time is important. If you plant too late, vegetables will not have time to produce a crop before being terminated by a hard frost. If planting occurs too early, summer heat can negatively impact cool season crops.
