Speedway to Healthy is a walk-through learning environment representing the human body. The goal of the program is to improve the eating and health behaviors of North Carolina youth. To learn more about the program and how it's set up, please watch this quick 2 1/2 minute VIDEO. We need volunteer presenters to provide 5 minute lessons at each of 11 pit stops through the human body. Volunteer training will be held prior to the event and all needed materials will be provided. The five minute lesson at each pit stop will be repeated multiple times until all groups have gone through the exhibit. ALL VOLUNTEERS must be background checked through Montgomery County Schools' Volunteer Tracker. A separate email will be sent to volunteers with the link to complete that process. This is done at NO COST to the volunteer.
Lunch will be provided, and all volunteers will receive a small token of our appreciation for the assistance.
The event will be held Tuesday - Thursday, February 24, 25, and 26 at Troy Elementary School.
If you are able to participate, please sign up at this VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION LINK. And we would absolutely love it if you would share this information with anyone else who you think might be willing to help.
