Montgomery County 4-H Project Records and Portfolios Due 02/18/2026
Submitting your Project Record Books and Portfolios is the best way to show how much you’ve grown, build a record of your achievements, and even win cash prizes.
All submissions from Montgomery County 4-H'ers are due to the Montgomery County 4-H Office (1001 N Main Street, Troy, NC 27371) by Wednesday, February 18th.
What is a Project Record Book? (Ages 8-18)
Think of this as a scrapbook of your success! It’s a written summary of everything you learned and the skills you gained in a specific project between January 1 and December 31, 2025.
Why should you do one?
-
Win Prizes: High-scoring books move from the county level to the state level, where you can win money!
-
Resume Builder: These records make it incredibly easy to fill out scholarship and job applications later on.
-
Show Your Growth: It’s a great way to see how far you’ve come in just one year.
-
Note: You can submit up to two different project record books for the year!
What is a Portfolio? (Ages 13-18)
Ready to take it to the next level? A Portfolio covers three consecutive years of 4-H work. It’s a deep dive into your dedication and leadership within a specific project area.
-
State-Level Recognition: Portfolios are judged at the state level.
-
Maximum Impact: You can submit up to two portfolios.
