Livestock Show flyer imageNorth Carolina Cooperative Extension, Montgomery County Center is pleased to announce that the 2018 Montgomery County Youth Livestock Show will be held on Saturday, August 25, at 10 a.m. on the grounds of the Agriculture Center, 200 Glen Road in Troy.

Heifer check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with the show beginning at 10 a.m. Goats will begin check-in at Noon with the show beginning at 1:30 p.m. Right after lunch, there will be a special Pee Wee Goat Show for anyone under the age of five. Pee Wee Show participants will get to lead a goat around the show ring (with the help of a parent or older showman), talk to the judge and receive a medal for their effort.

Showing livestock is for any youth, ages 5 to 19, interested in raising, training and showing a beef heifer or market goat.

This event is sponsored by Montgomery County Farm Bureau, Carolina Farm Credit, Montgomery County Cattlemen’s Association, Blue Q Ranch and Montgomery Farm & Garden.
