NC Peach Growers Society Annual Meeting

Interested in growing peaches? Would you like to know how to prune peach trees correctly? Do you need to brush up on your peach knowledge? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, please plan to attend the Annual Peach Growers Society Meeting in Carthage on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Registration is required to attend the event and the registration form can be found here. The cost is $30 with pre-registration or $35 at the door. Lunch is included in the cost of registration. So don’t hesitate, go ahead and fill out the registration form and mail it back to the corresponding address. This will be a very informative and educational program that tentatively includes 2 hours of pesticide credits.

Peach Production Workshop

Monday, January 22, 2018, 1-4 p.m., Sandhills Research Station, 2148 Windblow Road, Jackson Springs, NC 27281

Dr. Mike Parker will lead an afternoon workshop on all things peaches at the Sandhills Research Station. Come prepared with questions, as the program will focus on the needs and interests of workshop participants.

In general the topic will be Peach Production 101, with a focus on pruning techniques. The workshop will be outside at the station’s peach orchards, so be sure to dress appropriately for the weather.
